A Week Of Mayhem

This week has been an interesting one, full of mayhem and working hard! A couple of very good friends and colleagues left work on Friday, which was very sad to see. However I managed to acheive 'employee of the month' which was great, although i missed out why i had won it, because i was too busy chatting to a mate, trying to figure out who it was... It was a great suprise, and my first ever employee award, so i was chuffed to bits.
The leaving doo last night was fun, a few bottles of wine, various other alcoholic beverages and some shots later, and i stumbled in at 2am!
Im currently watching 'lost' which i have never seen before, so am completely confused about what is going on... but its all gravy when you have a thumping head like mine!

The Bank Holiday Weekend!

Yet another bum weekend, the Eurovision was shocking, I have never seen such political voting, why they have to tell you which country each singer is from I dont know. There must be ways to stop the political voting. I dont have anything against the Russian winner, who incidentally is a massive star already across eastern europe, and who had his song produced by Timbaland... I just felt that Iceland, France or one of the many other countries had a better Eurovision song.

After that followed 2 days of rain, i did manage to get in some shopping, but ended up soaking wet... soaking wet shopping is never fun.

I got jabbed and prodded this morning at the doctor, followed by a poo day at work. I did get a nice sympathy tea cooked for me though.

Thursday 22nd May 2008 - What a crappy day!

After working till late last night! saddo! I woke up late, and only just managed to throw some clothes on. Drove to work and parked in a decidedly dodgy place... more on this later.

Worked my little bum off, finishing off bits and pieces i hadnt managed to do for the past few weeks.

1pm came round and i had to leave for an appointment. bring on the decidedly dodgy parking... i couldnt get out, and managed to scrape the front of my car on the wall! brilliant! to make matters worse, half the people i work with decided to hang out of the window laughing. i swore in a huff and had to walk to my appointment. great.

i arrived back at work, didnt take a lunch and worked right through until 7.30 this evening... i really am a saddo.

got home, showered, ate horrid pasta stuff and sat down.

my night got better with channel 4's 'Come Dine With Me' which i have to say is one of my absolute favourite programmes! this week hit Oxford, witht some interesting meals, mainly consisting of fish.

Wednesday So Far

Well Wednesday turned out to be a fairly good day all things considered, I woke up having possibly snored a little too loudly last night, with a really sore throat and nose. But singing along to the Chris Moyles Show probably didnt help.

I got to work ate some breakfast and got stuck into a hard days graft! I got loads done, and as a consequence, feel rather proud of myself!

Monkey, she is currently looking at my type, wondering how a computer works. She may go for a nibble of my hair shortly, as she loves to lick and eat hair...

As for tonight, I am wimping out of the football and instead look forward to more 'a child of our time' followed by who knows what!

Tuesday

Last night I sacrificed my much loved television and had some friends over. It was nice. We has a good old moan about the world in which we live. They both tried to steal monkey, but after some stern words, they soon decided against it. I fed her some whiskers tuna kitten food, and got in my proton persona and trundled off to see the 'old man'. We ate kebab, and I watched him play Grand Theft Auto 4. This was not so enjoyable, but i did then kick his arse at Dead or Alive 4!

That is all I have to say on this subject.

The Weekend (and monday)

not much to shout about over the weekend, i chillaxed! spent some time with my cat, called monkey and watched some tv... i was soooo pleased to see indiana jones back on tv, but i wasnt too sure about brokeback mountain. That was just a bit too weird for me.

last nights viewings were good, eastenders at the end was a highlight of the year, watching dear old heather finally get a snog from the man she loved brought tears to my eyes! well done the bbc

i watched a jennifer lopez classic in - the wedding planner - can her bum look any bigger!?!

Ponderings from last night

My ponderings from last night;

We all strive for an easy life, but in the process we often harm ourselves, by letting people walk all over us, or by giving in to things when we really shouldnt.

Would it be easier to not give in, argue, get what we wanted and would we ultimately be happy?

Last night I watched eastenders, bless poor roxy, what a conundrum. I would feel more sympathy, but then its not real!

Last Nights Ponderings

Last night, whilst watching the BBC's 'Child Of Our Time' which I have been a huge fan of since the program began, I got to thinking about the many ways in which we mould our children and their behaivour. Human beings really are quite manipulative.

I have also been listening to some reviews of the program Half Ton Dad I am rather worried about the state of our health these days, although I can't talk - I have just had £10 worth of sweets from Aquarterof which will probably last me all of 2 hours!
